FAQs
How Should I Store My Bread?Enjoying it within a few days?
Store your loaf at room temperature in a sealed plastic bag. This helps maintain its soft texture and keeps it tasting fresh for everyday slicing, dipping, and sharing.
Planning to enjoy it throughout the week?
Place your loaf in the refrigerator. While refrigeration can firm up the bread slightly, a quick toast or warm-up brings it right back to life and helps preserve freshness for longer.
Saving it for later? For longer-term storage, freeze your loaf for up to 2–3 months. You can freeze it whole or pre-sliced for added convenience. When you’re ready to enjoy it, simply thaw at room temperature or toast slices directly from frozen.
How Can I Reheat My Bread? If your sourdough has become a little firm, don’t worry! It’s easy to bring it back to life.
Rinse the outside of your loaf with water, then place it in a 375°F oven for 10–15 minutes. The moisture helps revive the bread, creating a crisp, crunchy crust while restoring softness to the inside.
Once warmed through, your loaf will taste remarkably fresh, almost as if it just came out of the oven the day you brought it home.
For individual slices, a quick toast works beautifully too!
Why Is My Sourdough Slightly Different Every time?Because each loaf is handcrafted and naturally fermented, no two loaves are exactly alike. Variations in shape, scoring, crust color, and air pockets are all part of the beauty of artisan sourdough.
